Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1973 and his Certified Public Accountant license not long after in 1977. He worked at several accounting firms before forming Rye, Wright & Hiegel in 1992.
Jim became a financial planner with Money Concepts in 2001. He decided to expand the services he offered his tax clients when, after working with his clients for 40 years, he saw that many of them didn’t have enough money saved to retire. He saw that he could benefit his clients by assisting them to better manage their resources to focus on wealth accumulation.
As a financial planner, Jim has built relationships with his clients based on trust and friendship. As a result, he is now working to meet the financial needs of multiple generations within the same family for many of his clients. By being personally involved in all phases of the tax preparation process, Jim is in a unique position to make recommendations and answer questions when called upon to advise his clients how to pass a larger portion of their wealth to their beneficiaries.
